Philippines' COVID-19 cases rise to 362,243

Philippines' COVID-19 tally rose to 362,243 on Wednesday with 1,509 new infections.

Total recoveries increased to 311,506 after 911 more patients recovered, while the death toll climbed to 6,747 with 60 new fatalities.

The highest number of new cases were reported in Rizal (83), Cavite (82), Manila City (66), Baguio (65), and Iloilo City (57).

Ninety percent of the newly reported cases caught COVID-19 within the past 14 days.

Overseas, the Department of Foreign Affairs logged 33 more recoveries among Filipinos abroad, bringing the total to 7,234 and reporting three new fatalities in the Middle East.
