Hatch, Petecio, Delgaco vie for medals in Paris Olympics

Swimmer Jarod Hatch and boxer Nesthy Petecio will represent the Philippines in the 2024 Paris Olympics on Friday, with rower Joanie Delgaco competing in her final event.

Hatch will compete in the men's 100m butterfly event starting at 5 p.m., aiming to secure one of the top 16 spots to advance to the semifinals.

Petecio, a silver medalist from the Tokyo Olympics three years ago, faces hometown favorite Amina Zidani in the Round of 16 boxing match at 2:00 a.m. on August 3 and has already secured a win over India's Jaismine in the Round of 32.

Delgaco will compete in the classification Final D at 4:30 p.m. on Friday to determine her finish in the Paris Games.
