PRC opens two COVID-19 labs in Clark and Subic

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) opened two new COVID-19 testing laboratories, one each in Clark Freeport Zone and Subic Bay Freeport, capable of conducting 2,000 PCR tests daily.

Senator Richard Gordon, PRC chairman, inspected the Subic lab on Friday, June 19, alongside SBMA Chairman Wilma Eisma and BCDA President Vince Dizon.

Gordon stated that testing will initially focus on employees in Subic Bay Freeport before expanding to the public in nearby areas.

The Clark laboratory was built in partnership with Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) and has been accredited by the Department of Health (DOH).

With these new facilities, PRC's daily testing capacity will soon reach 16,000 tests nationwide.
