DOH aims to test 1.5% of pop by end of July

The Department of Health (DOH) aims to test 1.5% of the Philippine population for COVID-19 by the end of July.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said the country's testing capacity is currently at almost 50,000 tests per day but only around 10,000 to 11,000 are conducted due to operational issues.

Vergeire noted that strategies are being employed to maximize daily testing outputs and reach the goal of testing 1.5% of the population by July end.
