PH recoveries hit 2.77M; active cases drop to 15K

The Philippines' total number of recovered COVID-19 cases reached 2,769,533 on Thursday with 684 new recoveries.

Active cases decreased to 15,188 from Wednesday's count of 15,327, with 564 new infections reported.

The recovery rate stands at nearly 98%, while the positivity rate was about 1.7% on November 30.

New deaths increased by 40 to a total of 48,752 since the start of the pandemic.

Active cases are distributed as follows: 7,126 mild, 715 asymptomatic, 1,067 critical, 2,463 severe, and 3,817 moderate.
