PH logs 1,537 new COVID-19 cases

The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 1,537 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, bringing the total active cases to 15,418.

This marks a second consecutive day of increasing new cases after recording 1,279 cases on Wednesday.

The National Capital Region and Calabarzon continue to have the highest number of new cases over the past two weeks, with Quezon City leading among cities and provinces.

The country's recovery tally now stands at 4,144,351 while the death toll remains unchanged at 66,466.

DOH also reported that COVID-19 bed occupancy is currently at 22%, with 5,598 beds occupied and 19,863 vacant.
