Philippines records 11,667 new COVID cases last week

The Philippines recorded 11,667 new COVID-19 cases from May 22 to 28, with a daily average of 1,667 cases, marking a 6% decrease from the previous week.

There were 105 severe and critical cases, accounting for 0.7% of total infections, with active admissions at 554, up by 68 cases from the prior week.

No deaths were reported during this period, while ICU bed utilization rose to 21.8%, and non-ICU bed occupancy increased to 23.2%.

As of March 19, about 78.44 million Filipinos had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with 23.81 million having received booster shots.
