Philippines Reports Over 7,000 New COVID-19 Cases; Recoveries Rise

The Philippines reported 7,228 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, bringing the total to 1,269,478.

Recoveries increased by 7,372 to reach a total of 1,188,243, accounting for 93.6% of all cases.

The death toll rose by 166 to 21,898.

Active cases currently stand at 59,337, with 93.5% being mild and the rest distributed among asymptomatic, severe, critical, and moderate conditions.

Additionally, data from the DFA showed that 52 overseas Filipinos have recovered this week, bringing their total recovery count to 12,056.
