PNP COVID-19 death toll hits 67

The death toll among Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel due to COVID-19 has risen to 67 after another officer died on May 31.

The latest victim was a 47-year-old police sergeant from Tagum City who tested positive for the virus on May 27 and passed away despite medical intervention.

As of June 2, there are 24,253 confirmed cases within PNP with 143 new infections reported that day. About 22,536 have recovered while 1,653 remain active.
