Philippines suspends visa issuance for foreigners

The Philippine government has temporarily suspended visa issuance for foreigners in all its foreign service posts, effective immediately.

Foreigners already in the Philippines are exempt from this suspension and will not be affected by it.

Starting March 22, visa-free privileges including those based on Visa Waiver Agreements and holders of specific passports (Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, Macau-Portuguese, British National Overseas) will also be suspended.

Foreign spouses and children of Filipino nationals, as well as accredited foreign government officials and their dependents, are exempt from the ban.

All previously issued visas will be canceled, and foreigners with these visas will be denied entry to the Philippines starting March 22.
