Gov’t lifts 24-hr travel restrictions for OFWs, foreigners

The Philippine government has assured that foreign nationals wishing to leave the country during the Luzon quarantine can do so without any impediments.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles announced on Wednesday that the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has lifted the 24-hour restriction previously required for departing overseas Filipino workers and foreigners.

The new resolution allows these individuals to travel unimpeded to international airports, national government facilities such as ports and bus terminals, and seek temporary accommodations without facing any obstacles.
