PH completes procurement of 13M Moderna doses, NTF urges boosters

As of Saturday, January 8, the Philippines has administered 112,745,559 doses of coronavirus vaccines, with 52,109,143 Filipinos fully vaccinated.

The National Task Force Against Covid-19 reported that 3,082,514 individuals have received booster shots for added protection against COVID-19.

On Friday, January 7, the country received its first shipment of vaccines in 2022: 150,540 doses of Moderna vaccine, completing the government's procurement of 13 million doses.

Dr. Ted Herbosa, medical adviser for the NTF Against Covid-19, welcomed the new shipment and encouraged unvaccinated individuals to get their primary doses while urging fully vaccinated individuals to avail booster shots.

The DOH expects to receive lower-dosed Pfizer vaccines for the 5 to 11 age group by mid-January.
