PH among ASEAN countries with lowest daily COVID cases

The Philippines has among the lowest daily coronavirus cases in Southeast Asia as of March 28, according to Health Secretary Francisco T. Duque III.

Duque cited figures from Our World in Data showing that the Philippines recorded 3.45 new infections per million people per day, followed by Cambodia with 3.61 and Myanmar with 4.52.

Countries with higher daily cases include Brunei (869.29), Vietnam (1724), Singapore (1295.34), Malaysia (615.65), Thailand (360.67), and Laos (293.52).

Duque emphasized the need to maintain consistent implementation of pandemic response interventions.
