US CDC lowers PH travel risk level to moderate

US CDC has lowered the risk level for traveling to the Philippines due to improvements in the country's Covid-19 situation.

The Philippines is now categorized under Level 2 or moderate risk, with 50 to 99 new cases per 100,000 individuals over the past 28 days.

For the week of March 24 to 30, the country recorded only 2,500 cases and had 40,412 active cases, with most being asymptomatic or mild.

The US CDC advises vaccinated travelers to proceed with caution while unvaccinated individuals should consult their doctor before traveling.
