Philippines' daily new COVID cases average 366

The number of new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases remains low in the Philippines, averaging 366 per day over the past week.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire noted that the positivity rate is at 1.8 percent, a decrease from last week's 2.1 percent.

As of April 3, more than 66.2 million individuals are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 while over 71.4 million have received their first dose.

About 73.5% of the country’s target population has been vaccinated against the disease, with 75.83 percent of senior citizens inoculated.
