DOTr intensifies measures at transportation hubs against coronavirus

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Thursday that it has intensified efforts to combat the spread of coronavirus at transportation hubs across the country.

At Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Ed Monreal said cleaning and sanitation measures are being conducted every 30 minutes, covering boarding gates, concourse areas, immigration counters, customs counters, arrival and departure halls, and check-in counters.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), which manages 42 airports nationwide, has also increased its efforts to contain the virus, conducting sanitation every four hours and providing treatment for passengers with high body temperatures.
