Zamboanga tightens Covid-19 measures as PH declares health emergency

Zamboanga City has strengthened surveillance measures against Covid-19 following President Duterte's declaration of a state of public health emergency.

The City Health Office chief advised residents to remain vigilant, report suspected cases by calling the hotline number, and practice proper hygiene.

Meanwhile, the government in Manila stated it is 'on top of the situation' and continues to undertake necessary actions to contain the virus.

Malacañang called for prudence and judiciousness amid the outbreak, urging all responsible agencies to secure public welfare.
