86% of PGH COVID-19 patients unvaccinated

Eighty-six percent of COVID-19 patients at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH) are unvaccinated, according to a PGH spokesperson.

Of 154 patients, 86% have not received any vaccine doses, while 11% received their first dose and 3% are fully vaccinated.

The majority of cases for unvaccinated patients are moderate, with some in severe condition and a few critical.

PGH's ICU beds for children reached full capacity due to the highly contagious Delta variant.

Dr. Jonas del Rosario noted that more pediatric patients are being treated as the Delta variant spreads.
