Anti-narcotics agents seize shabu, arrest suspects in Cotabato

Anti-narcotics agents seized 28 sachets of shabu from four dealers, including two women, during a sting operation on Thursday in Barangay Mother Tamontaka, Cotabato City.

Separately, law enforcers arrested three suspects, including an alleged high-value target (HVT), and seized nearly PHP14 million worth of shabu in North Cotabato province early Tuesday at the Red High Heel Hotel in Barangay Balogo in Pigcawayan town.

The operation led to the arrest of Marhaya Aziz Abdullah, 36, Kadapi Karim Jaca, 45, and Ridzmer Nasher Abdulkara, 38, along with the seizure of 2.05 kg of shabu worth PHP13.94 million, three mobile phones, two passbooks, and a handgun.

Both operations involved local barangay officials who were present during the shutdown of drug dens in their respective areas.

The seized evidence will be used as legal proof against those arrested for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
