PDEA seizes PHP101.7M worth of drugs, arrests 122

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized PHP101.7 million worth of illegal drugs during operations from August 15 to 22.

Agents conducted 68 anti-drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 122 individuals and the confiscation of various substances including 14,003 grams of shabu, 36,360 grams of dried marijuana leaves, and 8,040 marijuana plants.

PDEA Director General Isagani Nerez stated that they will continue to intensify their anti-drug campaign with intelligence-driven operations and inter-agency collaboration.

Nerez emphasized the commitment to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s vision of a drug-free Philippines, highlighting the importance of community vigilance in reporting suspicious activities.

He also commended the collaborative efforts of PDEA regional units, the Philippine National Police, and other law enforcement agencies in these operations.
