PDEA-9 seizes 4 kg shabu, arrests suspect in Zamboanga

On Tuesday morning, August 19, agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-9 seized four kilograms of shabu from a drug peddler in Barangay Canelar, Zamboanga City.

The operation led to the arrest of Sahdan Badri Ibrahim, a 52-year-old suspect who was caught during a trade-off and held by PDEA agents and police operatives.

According to Bryan Babang, director of PDEA-9, the joint operation involved agents from Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga City as well as policemen from Police Regional Office-9.

Ibrahim surrendered peacefully after realizing he had sold approximately P27.3 million worth of shabu to undercover agents in Barangay Canelar.

Confidential informants provided the basis for the operation, reporting Ibrahim's involvement in large-scale drug trafficking across Zamboanga City and neighboring provinces.
