PHP17.4M shabu seized in Zamboanga, Daet

Police in Zamboanga City and the Police Regional Office in Bicol made separate arrests over the weekend, seizing PHP3.4 million worth of suspected shabu in Zamboanga and PHP14 million worth of suspected shabu in Daet, Camarines Norte.

In Zamboanga, suspects Algisno and Bossing were apprehended during a buy-bust operation near Barangay Cabatangan by the Philippine National Police - Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit-Zamboanga Peninsula.

The Bicol arrests involved suspects Temio and Bert in Barangay Bagasbas, Daet, Camarines Norte, where police confiscated 2,060 grams of suspected shabu.

Both sets of suspects are currently detained pending drug tests and filing of charges under Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
