PDEA busts three drug ops, seizures worth P13M

On Friday, August 8, a joint operation between the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and local police seized shabu with an estimated street value of P3.5 million in Carmen, Davao del Norte.

The sting resulted in the arrest of a major drug supplier who surrendered 527 kilos of shabu.

In Cotabato City, police seized P3.4 million worth of shabu from a 38-year-old mother and her adolescent daughter during another operation on Friday.

On Monday, August 5, agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency seized one kilo of shabu worth P6.8 million from two traffickers in Barangay Making, Parang, Maguindanao del Norte.

The suspects, Kintang Badal, 27, and his 26-year-old accomplice, Alinor Inidal, were arrested after turning over the shabu to agents during a tradeoff in Purok Nursery.

Local officials from Parang supported the entrapment operation, which was conducted with assistance from municipal leaders including Mayor Cahar Ibay of Parang.

The seized shabu will be used as evidence in prosecuting the suspects for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
