PCCI backs NCR shift to Alert Level 2

The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) supports downgrading Metro Manila's quarantine status to Alert Level 2 for the next two weeks.

PCCI president Benedicto Yujuico stated that easing restrictions will allow most businesses to operate at full capacity, benefiting from increased consumer spending during Christmas.

Yujuico also emphasized the need to increase public transportation capacity and accelerate vaccination efforts to aid economic recovery, especially for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
