NEDA: P3.6B economic gain with NCR easing to Alert Level 2

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) estimates that easing the quarantine level in Metro Manila to Alert Level 2 could boost the economy by PHP3.6 billion per week and create an additional 16,000 jobs compared to the current Alert Level 3.

Including other areas outside of NCR, further de-escalation to Alert Level 2 would add PHP4.7 billion in GDP and generate 20,000 more jobs weekly.

If the country moves to Alert Level 1, an additional PHP10.3 billion could be added to the GDP and 43,000 jobs created per week.
