US donates 3M Moderna doses, Duterte thanks, keeps VFA

President Duterte thanked the US for donating three million doses of Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine at Villamor Airbase on Tuesday.

The vaccines are part of a larger donation from the US government through the COVAX facility, bringing the total donated to 13.2 million doses.

Galvez stated that indigent Filipinos will be prioritized for these Moderna vaccinations.

Duterte also mentioned that the vaccine donation played a role in his decision to keep the Visiting Forces Agreement with the US.
