Palace: Tarps for immediate Odette aid, housing materials by Jan

President Duterte ordered the distribution of tarpaulin sheets and lumber from uprooted coconut trees to Typhoon Odette-affected areas.

The DSWD sent 500 rolls of sakoline or laminated sacks to Butuan and Surigao, while Calabarzon's Field Office will augment 500 family tents to Mimaropa and Bicol's Field Office will deliver 500 rolls of laminated sacks to affected areas.

Acting Presidential Spokesperson Karlo Nograles stated that tarpaulins are immediate relief needs for temporary shelters, with construction materials arriving later from January to March 2022.
