Duterte pledges P10B for Typhoon Odette relief

President Rodrigo Duterte has pledged PHP10 billion for relief and reconstruction efforts in areas hit by Typhoon Odette.

Each province will receive PHP100 million, sourced from various government agencies.

Duterte announced the fund during a command conference with officials at Gen. Benito Ebuen Air Base in Lapu-Lapu City on Thursday night.

The President visited Cebu twice since the typhoon's impact and conducted an aerial survey of the southern part of the province.

Victims in Southern Leyte are appealing for help through placards placed around their devastated area, with at least 136,369 houses damaged by Odette.
