Palace respects LGUs’ decision for repatriated OFWs to undergo another round of quarantine

Malacañang respects local government units' decision to require repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to undergo another round of quarantine even if they have already tested negative for COVID-19.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque assured that the 24,000 OFWs ordered home have completed their initial 14-day quarantine and tested negative.

Roque suggested that the second quarantine should be in barangays where OFWs can stay close to their families.

The League of Provinces of the Philippines insisted on this measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in communities.
