Palace urges public cooperation for GCQ and MGCQ shift

Malacañang urged the public to cooperate with authorities as many areas transition into general community quarantine (GCQ) or modified GCQ starting June 1.

President Duterte announced that Metro Manila, Regions II, III, IV-A, Pangasinan, Albay, and cities like Davao, Baguio, and Iloilo will be under GCQ.

Cebu City and Mandaue City, previously set for modified enhanced community quarantine, will also shift to GCQ along with Region VII and Zamboanga City.

Roque stated that the rest of the country will be on modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).

On Saturday, Malacañang released an updated list confirming the areas under GCQ from June 1 to 15.
