Filipino airlines suspend or reduce flights to China

Budget carriers Cebu Pacific and AirAsia Philippines suspended all flights to mainland China from February 2 to March 29 due to the novel coronavirus threat.

Philippine Airlines canceled several flights between Manila and cities in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau starting January 31.

Over 700 scheduled and chartered flights from China have been canceled in the Philippines as of January 31, with more expected due to a ban on visitors from Hubei province and other affected areas.

Philippine Airlines also suspended chartered flights between Kalibo and cities in China but kept regularly scheduled flights operational with enhanced protective measures.
