PAGASA warns scattered rains, thunderstorms due to ITCZ, easterlies

PAGASA warned that scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will persist due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and easterlies.

Scattered rains are expected in the Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Palawan, Bicol Region, Quezon, and MIMAROPA due to the ITCZ and easterlies, with potential for moderate to heavy rains leading to flash floods or landslides.

Isolated rain showers will continue in other parts of Mindanao, Visayas, and Metro Manila due to localized thunderstorms and easterlies, carrying additional flooding risks during severe storms.

Metro Manila is expected to have partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, while Luzon will experience light to moderate winds from an east-to-southeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Visayas and Mindanao will see light to moderate wind speeds moving in a southwest-to-southeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
