PAGASA warns of continuing rains in Visayas, Bicol, Quezon; heavy rain possible in Mindanao, Eastern Visayas

PAGASA warns that rains brought by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), easterly winds, and localized thunderstorms will continue to affect parts of the country on Monday, June 16.

Visayas, Bicol Region, and Quezon can expect scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to easterlies, with moderate to heavy rains possibly causing flash floods or landslides in Mindanao and Eastern Visayas under ITCZ influence.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms from localized thunderstorms; residents are advised to exercise caution during severe weather conditions.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters will prevail across the archipelago, with no low pressure areas monitored for tropical cyclone formation as of 2 a.m. on Monday.
