PAGASA issues thunderstorm advisory for 5 provinces, Metro Manila

State weather bureau PAGASA issued a thunderstorm advisory on Tuesday morning, June 24, warning of heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds in five provinces and Metro Manila in Luzon.

The affected areas include Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Batangas, and Quezon, while specific cities and municipalities such as Orani, Abucay, Samal, Balanga, Pilar, Orion in Bataan, Santa Cruz, Masinloc, Candelaria in Zambales, Hermosa, and other regions are already experiencing these conditions.

PAGASA reported that the severe weather is expected to persist for up to two hours and could extend to nearby regions, posing risks of flash floods and landslides.

The advisory urges residents in affected areas to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during this period.

Residents are advised to stay indoors, avoid low-lying and landslide-prone areas, and monitor local weather updates for further information.
