PAGASA warns of isolated rain showers and risks of flash floods in Northern Luzon

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported on Saturday that isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms will affect most parts of the country.

Ilocos Region, Batanes province, Babuyan Islands, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley can expect moderate to heavy rains as the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to impact extreme Northern Luzon, posing risks for flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have similar conditions due to localized thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds from southeast to southwest directions will prevail across the archipelago, along with slight to moderate seas.
