PAGASA issues thunderstorm advisory for Metro Manila and nearby provinces

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a thunderstorm advisory on Tuesday at 1 p.m., warning that Metro Manila and surrounding provinces may experience moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds within the next two to three hours.

Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Zambales, Laguna, Quezon (Polillo), Rizal, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pampanga, and Metro Manila are particularly affected by these conditions, which could persist for up to two hours and spread to nearby areas.

PAGASA also reported that flash floods and landslides remain possible impacts of these severe weather conditions, urging residents in Cavite (Naic, Ternate, Maragondon, Tanza, Rosario, Noveleta, Trece Martires), Laguna (Calamba), Batangas (Laurel, Tanauan, Agoncillo, San Nicolas, Taal), Quezon (Atimonan, Plaridel, Mauban, Gumaca, Pitogo, Tagkawayan), and Bulacan (Doña Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray) to take precautionary measures.

The advisory emphasizes the need for vigilance as similar conditions may affect other regions including Metro Manila.
