PAGASA issues thunderstorm advisory for 8 provinces in Luzon, parts of Metro Manila

Eight provinces in Luzon and parts of Metro Manila experienced moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds on Tuesday afternoon.

PAGASA issued a thunderstorm advisory at 2:30 p.m., alerting residents in Zambales, Metro Manila (Quezon City, Marikina), Rizal (San Mateo, Antipolo, Rodriguez), Bulacan (Dona Remedios Trinidad, San Ildefonso, Norzagaray, San Rafael), Tarlac (San Clemente, Mayantoc, San Jose, Capas, Bamban), Batangas (Santo Tomas, Tanauan, Lipa, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, San Jose, Balete, Cuenca, Ibaan, Batangas City), Laguna (Bay, Calauan, Alaminos, San Pablo), and Quezon (Lucban, Macalelon, General Luna).

PAGASA warned that Bataan, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, and Cavite could also experience heavy rains within the next two to three hours.

Residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides due to the expected rainfall and thunderstorms.
