Northeast monsoon brings rain, clouds to most parts of PH

Overcast skies and rain are expected across many parts of the Philippines on Wednesday due to the northeast monsoon (Amihan) and a shear line.

In Luzon, scattered light rains will occur in Cagayan Valley and Aurora due to the northeastern monsoon with no significant impact.

Elsewhere in Luzon, Metro Manila, and the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

The shear line will cause cloudy skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, and eastern sections of other regions in Mindanao, potentially leading to flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rains.

Localized thunderstorms may cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over the rest of Mindanao.

Strong winds and rough coastal waters will be felt over the northern and eastern sections of the country, while the rest of the archipelago will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas.
