PAGASA warns easterlies bring isolated rain, thunderstorms in parts of PH

PAGASA warned that parts of the Philippines, including Metro Manila and other areas, will experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies and localized thunderstorms on Saturday.

Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Southern Leyte, Bohol, Zamboanga del Norte, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and Metro Manila can expect scattered rain showers and thunderstorms from the easterlies, potentially leading to flash floods or landslides.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region will experience isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact in those areas.

The wind speed in Northern Luzon will be light to moderate, moving east to southeast, while the coastal waters will be slight to moderate. The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds, moving east to northeast, and the coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Temperature ranges are expected to vary across different regions: Metro Manila (23°C to 32°C), Baguio City (16°C to 24°C), Laoag City (21°C to 32°C), Legazpi City (24°C to 31°C), Metro Cebu (25°C to 32°C), Puerto Princesa City (25°C to 32°C), and Metro Davao (24°C to 31°C).
