PAGASA forecasts easterly winds affecting most parts of PH

Easterly winds continue to affect most parts of the Philippines, according to PAGASA's latest forecast for Wednesday.

Metro Manila and other regions in Luzon will experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms from afternoon until evening due to easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

The eastern portion of Visayas and Mindanao may experience overcast skies and rain, while Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur will have scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

Caraga will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers because of the easterlies, while the rest of the country will have fair weather conditions despite some isolated rain chances in Luzon.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions are anticipated over extreme Northern Luzon, while light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas prevail elsewhere.
