PAGASA warns of cold weather, light rains in Luzon; isolated rain showers in Visayas, Mindanao

PAGASA reported that the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is affecting Luzon and bringing cold weather with light rains, while Easterlies are impacting Visayas and Mindanao on Tuesday.

Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light rains due to Amihan, while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may expect isolated light rains.

Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to Easterlies, potentially causing flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are forecast in the Davao Region due to the easterlies and trough of a Low Pressure Area.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over Northern Luzon and the eastern section of the country, while elsewhere they are expected to be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.

No tropical cyclone is expected to develop or enter the country until the end of February.
