PAGASA forecasts fair weather, scattered rain in some areas, flash flood risk

Fair weather is expected across most parts of the Philippines on Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Rain will prevail over Isabela and Aurora on Saturday due to a shear line, while scattered rain showers may continue in Batanes and Cagayan.

Eastern Visayas will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms, particularly heavy rains in the afternoon.

Elsewhere, cloud clusters have no impact on weather conditions, but isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are possible in Metro Manila and other areas due to easterlies.

PAGASA warns of potential flash floods or landslides in Batanes and Cagayan due to a frontal system and soaring heat index in 32 areas across the country with temperatures ranging from 42°C to 46°C, classified as 'dangerous'.
