PAGASA monitors two tropical cyclones outside PAR

PAGASA is monitoring two active tropical cyclones outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Typhoon Muifa, formerly known as Inday, is located 550 km northeast of Itbayat, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph and gustiness up to 170 kph.

Another tropical depression is situated 1,785 kilometers east of Extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds at 55 kph and gustiness up to 70 kph.

Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will affect western sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas, bringing rains in the next 24 hours.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country are expected to experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to Habagat.
