Typhoon Nyatoh won't enter PAR, may bring rains

Typhoon Nyatoh will not enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), but its trough may bring scattered rain and thunderstorms to parts of Bicol, Visayas, and Mindanao.

As of Thursday, December 2, Nyatoh was located 1,495 kilometers east of Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph and gustiness up to 170 kph, moving northward at 15 kph.

PAGASA projects that the typhoon will move northeast starting Thursday night until Saturday.

Additionally, cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected in Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and southern Palawan due to Nyatoh's trough.
