Pagasa issues thunderstorm advisory for Metro Manila and 6 provinces

Metro Manila and parts of Luzon, including six provinces, are expected to experience moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds, according to a thunderstorm advisory from Pagasa issued at 4:30 pm on Friday.

The affected areas include Rizal, Cavite, Bulacan, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Batangas.

As of the advisory, heavy to intense rain showers with lightning and strong winds are currently being experienced in some parts of Metro Manila, Laguna, Quezon, Nueva Ecija, and Tarlac.

Pagasa warned residents to take safety measures against potential hazards such as flash floods and landslides.

The agency emphasized the importance of precautionary actions to mitigate risks associated with these weather conditions.
