Habagat brings heavy rains, flash flood risk in Zambales, Bataan

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that the southwest monsoon or Habagat will continue affecting parts of Luzon and Western Visayas with cloudy skies and scattered rains on Saturday.

Zambales and Bataan are expected to experience heavy to intense monsoon rains due to the southwest monsoon, increasing the risk of flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Western Visayas will see cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms due to moderate to heavy rains from the southwest monsoon.

Batanes and the Babuyan Islands will have occasional rains while the rest of the country is expected to experience localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during moderate to heavy rains, PAGASA warned. Strong winds and rough coastal waters will be observed in the northern and western sections of Northern Luzon.

The rest of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters while light to moderate winds and light to moderate coastal waters are possible in the rest of the country.
