PAGASA: Frontal system brings rain to Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte

A frontal system affecting extreme Northern Luzon on Tuesday, May 17, will bring cloudy skies and rains over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and Ilocos Norte, with potential for flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bataan, Pampanga, Zambales, Bulacan, and the rest of the Ilocos Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to a southwesterly surface windflow.

The rest of Luzon and the Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms, with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

No low pressure areas or weather disturbances are currently being monitored inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over extreme Northern Luzon, while elsewhere in the country, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas.
