PAGASA forecasts scattered rain showers, thunderstorms for parts of Mindanao, eastern sections, and Northern Luzon

PAGASA's latest weather forecast predicts cloudy skies and scattered rain showers for parts of Mindanao, eastern sections, and Northern Luzon due to easterlies and the northeast monsoon (amihan) on Thursday.

Davao Region, Caraga, Soccsksargen, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, Southern Leyte, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands may experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms potentially leading to flash floods or landslides from moderate rains caused by easterlies.

Metro Manila will have cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to easterlies and localized thunderstorms, while Ilocos, Cordillera, and Cagayan Valley regions can expect light rain showers because of the northeast monsoon (amihan).

Batanes and Cagayan may experience light rains caused by the Amihan.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speeds moving in an east to northeast direction, with slight coastal waters.
