Philippines: Cloudy skies, isolated rains; northeast monsoon

Most parts of the Philippines will continue to experience cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon (Amihan) and easterlies on Monday.

Northern Luzon, including Cagayan Valley and Aurora province, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains caused by the northeast monsoon, while Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Metro Manila and other regions may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to easterlies affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, potentially leading to flash floods or landslides during severe storms.

Moderate winds are expected in the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, while light to moderate winds will prevail elsewhere. Coastal waters may be rough due to strong winds moving east-northeast.

Coastal waters will be moderate in Northern Luzon and slight to moderate in other areas.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) forecasts generally fair weather with slight rain showers for the next three days.
