PAF, AFP transport tons of relief goods to Odette-hit areas

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has transported over 2,275 tons of relief goods to areas affected by Typhoon Odette.

On December 28 alone, the PAF ferried 99 locally stranded individuals from Siargao to Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

Personnel and heavy equipment were deployed from Basa Air Base to Mactan, Cebu to assist in recovery and rehabilitation efforts.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has also delivered over 2.376 million pounds of relief goods using naval vessels and aircraft, with navy vessels transporting 2.190 million pounds and air assets flying an additional 186,282 pounds.

The AFP provided transportation assistance to 394 locally stranded individuals and deployed a total of 122 disaster response teams along with CAFGU Auxiliary and reservists.
